Vedavathi is a woman of principles. She is a wealthy woman searching for a perfect daughter-in-law for her younger son. Vedavathi’s primary obligation is that her daughter-in-law should be her successor, following the rituals for Goddess Annapurna Devi. There is a curse in Vedavathi’s family, and to cool the Goddess, she should get a daughter-in-law whose horoscope should match that of Vedavathi’s. Vedavathi’s elder son is behind money, but her younger son, Srikar, is compassionate and attached to her. Hence, she had a lot of hopes of finding a good wife for him, who would also be her successor. However, the fate has different plans. Srikar falls in love with Avani and marries her.
