Muddulaakshmi is a Kannada serial which broadcasted on Star Suvarna. It is the remake of 'Karuthamuthu' a 2014 Indian television Malayalam language series. In this age where appearance and complexion are deemed to be more important than values and traditions, 'Muddulaakshmi' has come up with a concept showing that character and values are more important than skin tone.
Titular character Muddulakshmi (Ashwini) faces embarrassment because of her looks, but she fights against all these humiliations and social stigmas, which gives hope for the people around her.

Muddulakshmi is Taliru productions' first venture in the television world. Popular actor Harish is the producer of this serial, Dharani G Ramesh is the director, Nagaraj is the cinematographer, and Sridhar Sambhram has scored background music.
