Janaki Raghava is a Kannada serial that airs on the channel Star Suvarna from Monday to Friday at 9:30 pm. It was directed by Vinu Balaji. The serial shooting was carried out in Chikamangaluru. Janaki Raghava serial revolves around the lives of Janaki and Raghava, who lead completely opposite lives until they find each other. Janaki is a village girl who is an ardent devotee of Lord Rama. Raghava is the son of a business tycoon and grew up learning the city culture.

Janaki worships an idol of Lord Rama and learns that long ago, this idol was separated from the idol of Sita. That day onwards, uniting the two idols becomes her life goal. Lachi, a well-wisher of Janaki, tries to find the perfect suitor for her. Janaki and Raghava talk about the ideal qualities they look for in their partners, and it doesn’t entirely match. Kathyayini is Raghava’s aunt, who wishes to end Raghava so that her son would inherit the entire property. As part of her evil plan, she sends Raghava to Ramapura and plans to kill him there, but her attempt fails. In a temple in Ramapura, Raghava and Janaki meet. Raghava’s father, Shankar, learns that his son went to Ramapura and rushes to the village to get him back.

Due to the events of the past, the villagers, including Janaki’s father Janardhan, hate Shankar. On his arrival, everyone tries to kill Shankar and Raghava. In order to save their lives, Janaki gets married to Raghava. Janardhan and the rest of the villagers oust Janaki from the village for her act. Shankar also refuses to accept their marriage and leaves her on the road and lies about it to Raghava. Janaki finds her way back to her maternal home, but the villages refuse to let her in. Lachi then tells Janaki the truth about Shankar and how he was the one who stole Sita’s idol from the village. Raghava comes to take his wife, and she vows to Lord Rama’s idol that she will get Sita’s idol back.

When Raghava takes Janaki to his house, Kathyayini refuses to let her in. Janaki faces many hurdles in the house as no one is on her side. Shankar orders her not to get out of her room and to stay away from Raghava. However, Raghava and Janaki gradually become close. When Kathyayini provokes Janaki to go to Ramapura, Shankar berates her. Raghava decides to go alone for the sake of Janaki and find out how her family is doing. In the village, Raghava vows to Janaki’s mother, Sunanda, to reunite the idols. With the help of a police officer, Janaki and Raghava successfully do so.
