Plot

The world might be under lockdown due to COVID, but not the Metro Park. The Patels are trying to reignite their passion for their past hobbies, while Kannan is trying to keep himself cool after developing the symptoms identical to the pandemic. How will ‘Metro Park’ handle this lockdown?

Star Performances

Abi Varghese and his team of writers are the biggest stars of this show. They have delivered a series at par, if not better than the cartoon shorts once promoted by Hanna-Barbera and Warner Brothers.

The COVID-19 pandemic brought a halt to almost everything, including film production. However, some enthusiastic creators didn’t give up, including the makers of ‘Metro Park’.

Even as the audience waited for the sequel to this criminally underrated comedy drama that describes the lives of NRIs within USA, the makers came up with ‘Metro Park : Quarantine Edition’. Despite the constraints, the quality of entertainment almost remained the same, thanks to the razor sharp writing by Heerak Shah and Ajayan Venugopalan. There are some flaws, but they’re too small to be concerned about.

The actors did an equally good job, giving absolute justice to the brilliant screenplay. ‘Metro Park : Quarantine Edition’ is a short but very smart lesson in how to make the best use of resources. Despite being created and shot during the lockdown period, the makers took great care of not to mess with the entertainment factor. The actors did complete justice to the script, especially Ranvir Shorey and Pitobash Tripathy. Overall, this series is a must watch, and should not be missed at any cost.
