MTV Roadies: Journey in South Africa is a 2022 Indian reality television show that premiered on channel MTV. The show featured 34 exciting episodes. 

Roadies is MTV’s most popular reality television show that puts the candidates in breath-taking situations, and presents how they deal with them. Not only does the show feature dangerous tasks, but mental challenges that the contestants go through during the journey. Friendships are made, and fallen apart, team members back stab each other for their own selfish reasons. How do the contestants deal with all this? The show deals with that. This entertainment and thrill packed eighteenth season featured exiting tasks, eliminations, wildcard entries, and plenty of other twists, and turns. Like every other season, Bike became the journey vehicle for the roadies. Another exciting part was the introduction of Roadiums- special currency of the roadies. 

The fantastic journey began with a welcome meal with the Ex and current roadies, along with the gang leaders. The location for the setting was Amakhala Game Reserve. The ex-roadies were welcomed by Francois Van Nierker, a local guide at the Port Elizabeth Airport. The journey began as he gave the roadies their first Welcome Task. The first task took place in a duo- team format where one ex roadie and one new roadie were paired together. The main task for the new roadie was to impress the ex- roadie during the auditioning process.

One of the two members should also know how to ride, which was a compulsion. Later in the episode, Sonu Sood comes with a twist known as the ‘ Roadiums.’ He also finalizes the pairs. Five buddy pairs were formed who competed bravely against each other. Team Loyalty won and bagged two immunities Arushi C, Arshvir, Sohil, and  Simi scored the immunity. In the first vote out of the season, Sapna, Angad, and Kabya received the highest votes. Things took a twist when they got an opportunity to return back by winning the Survival Task. The show explores various dangerous challenges, drama, and a whole lot of entertainment. In the finale task,’ Twenty-Second Task,’ Ashish and Nandini won and became the ultimate roadies of the season.
