History TV 18 launched a show on 21st November 2014, aired every Friday at 9 p.m. and was called Vital Stats of India. This show had an exciting concept aimed at breaking down and showcasing the numbers and statistics related to India. The show was hosted by the dynamic duo of Rocky and Mayur, who embarked on an unforgettable journey through the show to discover the facts and statistics that constituted being an Indian. The show was designed in the form of a six-part or six-episode series, each being around half an hour long, and every episode would deal with a new and essential angle, which included exciting topics such as the food, size and diversity, cricket, Bollywood, rupee and the elections of India.
The show was filmed around several cities, including Goa, Mysore, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Meerut, and Aurangabad, and the historical and informational facts collected from all of these places were conveyed to the audience appealingly and engagingly through the fun and banter between two popular hosts. The primary aim was to present the vital facts about India to the audience in a way that they would learn and remember forever, and that’s exactly what they managed to achieve by collecting information in quirky manners, for example, visiting and gambling at a Casino in Goa to gain knowledge on how money works in India.
