The story of the show revolves around Chandragupta Maurya’s life as a young prince. His initial days as the ruler of the Maurya Empire, stories of his courage and valor, his transformation into a ruthless ruler and amidst all these, his love life with his first wife, Durdhara, the daughter of his eldest maternal uncle, whom he married at a very young age.

However, the show portrays Dhana Nanda’s daughter, Nandini as Chandragupta Maurya’s wife. She was the first wife of Chandragupta Maurya and the mother of his only son, Bindusara. Bindusara went on to be the second emperor of the Maurya Empire after Chandragupta Maurya. The initial love-hate relationship between Chandragupta and Nandini and their bond later on, which leads to the rest of the great stories about Chandragupta Maurya, is what the story is all about.

The show also gives a sneak peek into Chandragupta’s relationship with his second wife, Helena, who he married at the age of 40. Chandra Nandhini is an Indian Historical Hindi. The story revolves around Chandragupta Maurya, a great warrior, the founder of the Maurya Empire and ruler known for uniting the Indian subcontinent. However, the show focuses on his love for a princess named Nandini. The story is about Chandragupta Maurya and Nandini. Suryagupta Maurya, a king, rules the country with his pregnant wife, Moora. An invitation comes from Magadha. Queen Maghadha Avantika cheats on her husband when they go, but she likes a barber named Nanda. When Suryagupta finds him, Nanda kills the king of Magadha. Afterward, Nanda kills Suryagupta, but Suryagupta saves Moore. She gives birth to a boy. Moore hides her son in a pond and escapes, but arrested. However, a woman named Kanika finds Moore's son in the pound, calls him Chandra, and adopts him without knowing his true identity. Chandra lives with her adoptive parents.

Moore is still in Nanda's prison and swears his son will kill Nanda. Nanda and Avantika had a daughter, Nandini, after nine sons. Chandra leaves the house as Kanika suffers from her husband. He reaches Magadha and meets a teacher, Chanakya, who tries to save Magadha from Nanda. Chanakya sees Chandra's talents and understands that Chandra is the future king.
