Nirisha Basnett

Ms.NIRISHA BASNETT is a Nepali actress. She is a Bachelor's Degree holder in Business administration (BBA -BI) from the ACE institute of management. Her mom and dad were actors, but her mom gave up her career and passion for her three kids because she took up something that could provide to the family.

From her childhood, she always wanted to be an actor, so she wanted to go to the New York film academy to pursue her dreams, but her mother didn't allow her. On January 16, 2016, she tried to sneak out from her home to the party. Her mother was very strict so she couldn't go out of the front door.

So she jumped from the second floor and fell. Luckily, she survived.Then she ran to the hospital, and beside her physical pain she was very scared to her mother. And not willing to communicate with anybody. Doctors and others thought that it was suicide but we know that it wasn't suicide.

After a week she discharged from hospital. She was bedridden for three months. In the first month, her mother used to take care of her in cleaning, giving medicines in time, and on the other hand, her mother used to remember this incident every day although she wanted to move on from the incident, her mother was not helping.

At two points of the time, she was frustrated then she started cutting her wrists and taking an overdose of the pills. But then she started waiting for the day that she gets back on her feet. After five months, On June 16, 2016, she wrote a letter to her mother and ran away from her home. After ten months of running away, she left Nepal and moved to Mumbai.

After three months she got a call from Balaji Telefilms. And she was selected for the television series Chandra Nandini Chandra Nandini is a fictional drama telecasted in >> Read More... . After Chandra Nandini. She got a film offer for Jani Najani. After 13 months, she called her mother. She still remembered that the first show she watched sitting next to her mother after the movie got finished her mother got up and she cried and hugged her and said that she was very proud of Nirisha. After 72 auditions, she got selected in her first show. And finally, now she is doing two Indian tv shows.
