This series revolves around the shape-shifting serpent women fighting for revenge and protecting the Naagmani gem, the ultimate power, from evil. These magical serpents can take the appearance of any person as and when needed.

In this season, Shivanya (Mouni Roy), an Ichachadhari Naagin (Shape-shifting serpent woman), seeks revenge for the murder of her parents with the help of her cousin Shesha (Adaa Khan). Five people murdered her parents in a failed attempt to possess the most coveted Naagmani gem. However, she recognizes only four of them, and the fifth one, the main culprit, is still a mystery to her. Hence, she marries Ankush’s son Ritik (Arjun Bijlani) and kills three perpetrators, Suri, Viren, and Shailesh. She soon falls in love with the kind-hearted Ritik, making Shesha doubt her intentions to carry on the revenge plan. After some time, Shesha also started liking him when the sisters switch places due to a life-threatening emergency for Shivanya.

Later, Yamini, the mother of Ritik, turns out to be the fifth murderer. She realizes Shesha’s admiration for Ritik and turns her against her sister. Yamini kills Ankush to frame Shivanya for his murder and disclose her real identity in front of the family. Distraught, Ritik swears vengeance against his wife. Since he hesitated to kill her, Yamini helps him finish the job with a magical knife. She also stabs Ritik, revealing that he is the son of her dead brother, whom she used to get the Naagmani gem. However, that brother is alive and revives the leading couple with the help of Lord Shiva. After learning the truth, Ritik promises to help Shivanya save the Naagmani gem and reconcile with her.

Although she loses her powers as a punishment for consummating with a human, the husband and wife manage to kill Yamini and retrieve Naagmani safely. Later, they lead a happy life, and Shivanya is pregnant. On the other hand, the Mahishmatis (shape-shifting bees), who relentlessly try to steal the Naagmani gem every 25 years and are also behind this plot, abduct Shesha. This serial garnered the highest TRP ratings. Due to its immense popularity, it inspired many remakes in different languages. It is also streaming digitally on JioCinema.
