Bakul Thakkar is an asset to the Hindi film Industry. Bakul entered into films in the year 2003 through the much-acclaimed movie, “Mumbai Matinee” starring Rahul Bose. He portrayed the role of Roshan Kumar and his acting was very much appreciated. Bakul shot to fame through this flick, and he became famous for supporting roles. Thakkar has so far done many conventional and highly intellectual movies such as The Memsahib (2005), Chakachak (2005), Fareb (2004), Agnipankh (2004), and a few more.

After a long break since 2005, he again appeared on the silver screen for the Award winning movie Bum Bum Bole, in the year 2010. The film had the young prodigy, Darsheel Safary in the lead and was made by the talented director Priyadarshan. Bakul played the character of a sports teacher, who coaches Darshil to win a race.
