Directed by Abhishek Jain A 28-year-old director and the creator of CineMan >> Read More... of the recent mainstream movie, Hum do Hamare Do, the six episodes drama is based on a short story written by Mukesh Sojitra; while the screenplay is done by lyricist, Bhargav Purohitof Balaand Street dancer fame. The backdrop of the story is set in the 1980s, somewhere in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat. It follows the journey of the protagonist Vitthal who is exceptionally gifted when it comes to card skills. His pandit father, TribhuvandasTripathi, fosters three motherless children within his meagre limitations. Vitthal fails to receive a formal education, but as time goes by, he masters the gambling scene in his village thereby helping out with the family expenses. The plot takes Vitthal through various emotional and financial challenges that he overcomes head on to finally emerge as a card champion in the big city.

The relationship between Vitthal and his father, is deep-seated in love and respect, while he and his older sister, Vanda share a heartwarming and precious bond. Tribhuvandas and his older son who is educated and lives in the city share a rather cold relationship which in a way shapes Vitthal’s attachment with his family. As Vitthal goes through life and experiences that lead him to every corner, the emotional burden he carries with him emerges with Pratik Gandhi’s exceptional portrayal of the character.
