Season 7 of 30 Rock was aired on NBC from October 4, 2012 to January 31, 2013. The executive producers of the show are Marci Klein, Lorne Michaels, Jeff Richmond, Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, and David Miner. It's a fictional comedy drama where Tina Fey, who plays Liz Lemon, is the lead writer of “TGS (The Girly Show) with Tracy Jordan.” With unlimited moments of giggles and laughter, the show came to a bittersweet ending with season 7.
The lead characters of 30 Rock Season 7 include Liz Lemon (Tina Fey), Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin), and Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan). The show also stars Jane Krakowski as Jenna Maroney, Jack McBrayer as Kenneth Parcell, Scott Adsit as Peter Hornberger, Judah Friedlander as Frank Rossitano, and many other stars who gave their performance of a lifetime. This last season begins with Jack Donaghy trying to sabotage the fall line-up of NBC and trying to tank the channel. Meanwhile, Jenna wants Liz to be her bridesmaid.
Tina struggles with the idea of being a bridesmaid and tries to get out of it by using Jack’s idea, so she intentionally throws a horrible bachelorette party for Jenna. On the other hand, Tracy comes over for a dinner at Kenneth’s place and his new girlfriend Hazel (Kristen Schaal). With an exciting and fun-filled start to this season, it proved to be one of the most satisfying sitcom endings; without any drag, and at its peak.
The fun continues until the end as Liz gets married to Chris and opts for adoption instead of trying for a child after many failed attempts, Jack resigns and wants to commit suicide, and poor Kenneth is heartbroken after knowing his girlfriend was using him to get a movie part. Jenna and Liz are not on good terms because she feels that Liz stole her thunder by getting married before her. As a revenge, Jenna marries Paul at the same venue where Liz organized an award function.
Packed with unlimited gags, lots and lots of hilarious moments, brilliant acting, and loads of cameos involved, the Finale of 30 Rock is a must watch. The final season received 13 Emmy nominations, won 6 of them, and went home with two Golden Globes. Even though 30 Rock ended a few years ago, the fan following and pop culture still continue. As it’s said, “All great things must come to an end”, and if the ending is this hilarious, it's totally worth it.
