Dil Bekaraar is a Hindi romantic comedy-drama web series that premiered on Hotstar in 2021. The story happens in Delhi in the 1980s. It is about two very different people - Debjani and Dylan. Debjani, whose nickname is Dabbu, is a relaxed and friendly woman who becomes the first female newsreader on the country's only news channel. Dylan is a passionate and fiery journalist who wants to get his name published with his stories. In the beginning, Dylan sees Debjani on TV and writes a mean review criticizing her newsreading skills, which upsets her. But he also finds a big scandal to report on.

As Debjani and Dylan's lives cross paths, the dislike between them slowly turns into love. Dylan finally gets his name published with his report exposing the scandal, but he also makes a powerful enemy. Their new romance faces troubles as Dylan meets Debjani's weird family while investigating the scandal more. His boss gets angry about the scandal report. Debjani's life improves as she gets praised at work and admired personally. The main problem is Debjani's family pushing her to get married soon. Dylan hopes she will consider marrying him instead.

After learning Dylan's secret, Debjani tries convincing her family she is over him. Things heat up when the public learns about Dylan's arrest, forcing Debjani to face the truth about him. It is revealed that Debjani's father has ties to a mysterious woman. In the end, Dylan's ex-girlfriend helps to get him out of jail, but Debjani does something big on national TV that shocks the country. The season ends with a cliffhanger about what Debjani did to save Dylan and the trouble she lands in. Overall, Dil Bekaraar is a dramatic romantic comedy showing the love story between two very different people against the backdrop of 1980s Delhi and journalism.
