Medha Shankar

Medha Shankar is an Indian Actress, Singer, and Model. She was born to Abhay Shankar and Rachna Raj Shankar in Noida, India. She is the elder of two children in the family, the younger being Medha’s brother, Apoorv Shankar. She completed her primary education at Vidhya Bharti Public School in Noida. Later on, she pursued B. Com at the University of Delhi and completed her master’s in Fashion Management from the National Institute of Fashion Technology. She is a trained Indian Classical Singer and used to participate in competitions regularly.

She started her journey through a ramp walk at FBB Miss Femina India in 2016. Later, she worked on numerous television commercials. In 2015, she also worked on a short film called ‘With You For Always,’ portraying the character of ‘Mona.’ Before she entered the world of Fashion and Entertainment, she worked as an intern at Adidas India and Marks & Spencer. After being met with rejection countless times, she finally got a role in a British historical drama television series ‘Beacham House,’ where she portrayed ‘Roshanara,’ for which she is most notably known. Medha Shankar was born on August 1. Medha Shankar’s place of birth is in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. Her father’s name is Abhay Shankar, while her mother’s name is Rachna Raj Shankar (deceased). She has a younger brother, Apoorv Shankar who is the Vice President of Hardware at Ultrahuman. Medha Shankar has been interested in performing arts after watching her mother choreograph dances & direct plays for small children in their apartment complex. After that, she actively participated in dancing & singing competitions at school. She is a skilled singer who trained in Hindustani classical music during her school days.

She also learned to play Keyboard, Harmonium, and Sitar. However, she chose to stop learning music after the tenth class. During her college days, she auditioned for a short film and got selected. In the beginning, Medha Shankar worked as a model and was featured in several television commercials & print advertisements such as Paytm, Coca-Cola, and Big Bazaar.
