Akshay oberoi is an Indian actor, who belongs to a filmy family.He was born in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh on 1 January 1985. He was born to Krishan Oberoi. He is the nephew of and the cousin of Vivek Oberoi.

The handsome actor got married to Jyothi Vynatheya.He attended Newark Academy for high school and studied about the theatre arts. He got further education about drama, acting and he also learnt jazz and hip-hop dancing. He started his career by working in a theatre named Prithvi with as he came back to INDIA. In the film “AMERICAN CHAI”, he played an important role, which was released in the year 2002. After doing his first theatre film in INDIA, Makarand felt the talent of Akshay, and he offered him a character in "Miss Beautiful". He made his film debut with “Isi Life Mein” and recently featured in film “”. After his first film, he moved to Television series. And in the year 2012, he played the lead role in Bejoy Nambiar's ‘MTV Rush’.

His recently featured film makes him very successful and many journalists praised his acting.
