This serial focuses on one such beautiful love in history between Jodha and Akbar. They are distinct in their culture. A marriage which occurred of political significance ignited love between the couple through later days. Jodha is a Rajput queen who is skillful at fighting. Jalal has a desire to rule the whole nation. Bairam's guidance leads him in a wrong way. Jodha is expected to bring a change in his ruthless heart. Meanwhile, Jalal is planning to destroy Rajputs. So, he disguises himself as Rajput and enters their kingdom. Jodha believes in the concept of ruling people by love. She visits a temple along with her friend, Moti. But then a group of mugals attack the temple and rob the jewels.

When Moti questions them, one even tries to molest her. Jodha fights them and enquires about the ruthless act. They reveal that it's all done in the name of Jalal. This angers Jodha and vows to behead Jalal. Wars continuously erupt between them. Jalal sees Jodha for the first time and admires her. But then after having a victory over Rajputs, he fleeds Jodha with him. He tricks her into marrying him. Though he has married her without her interest, he actually loves her from the beginning. His heart starts to feel the warmth by her presence. Also, Jodha doesn't let him near him. He respects her distance but it pains him. He is also amazed by her fighting skills. His foster mother, Anga is not happy with this marriage.

She fears of losing the culture and honour of the Mughal family. So, she humiliates Jodha at every occasion. Jodha doesn't stay silent and gives comebacks at times. Jodha also notices how different Jalal is different from what she has heard. She starts to see a soft side in him which cares for his people. She makes him realise the harsh way he's treating his people. Her deeds bring a change in his heart. He realises how war destroys the lives of people. Also, he begins to understand the people who are facing hardships because of his conquers. Anga plans ways to separate them and she even succeeds once. How they unite other and destroy the politics surrounding them becomes the storyline.
