Jalsha Pujo Bari is a celebratory Bengali TV show that aired on Star Jalsha at the festival of Durga Puja. This show can also be accessed on the OTT platform Hotstar. Durga Puja is a festival where people perform rituals for the goddess Durga. Popular actors and actresses from the Star Jalsha family come together to perform specific and important rituals for the Durga Puja. They perform Debi Bodhon, Pushpanjali, Sidur Khela, and Sandhipuja together. They indulge themselves in the joy of this festival and simultaneously entertain their fans and viewers. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jalsha Pujo Bari, i.e., Durga Puja, was arranged and aired by Star Jalsha so that people could celebrate Durga Puja from their homes amidst the pandemic. The artists, which included Sreemoyee, Mohor, Joba, Charu, Arjyo, and a lot of others, participated in the rituals while taking care of safety. Every ritual took place, and people were able to enjoy them.

On the occasion of Shasthi, the Bodhan was aired at 10:25 a.m. On the day of Saptami, Kolabou Boron, Pushpanjali, and Sandhya Arti took place at 8:25 a.m., 10:25 a.m., and 6:00 p.m., respectively. Pushpanjali, Sandhi, and Sandhya Arati were the broadcasted on Ashtami. On Navami, people were able to watch Sandhya Arti live at six o’clock. On Dashmi, Sindoor Kala was broadcasted at 4 p.m. after Dorpone Bisharjan in the morning.

Star Jalsa’s spokesperson mentioned, “This year, watching the Jalsha Pujo Bari rituals on television is the safest way to celebrate the festival. People must be cautious during this critical time to stop the virus from spreading”. He added that they will make sure to keep everyone’s festive spirit maintained. COVID-19 disrupted the way of celebrating this festival, but Star Jalsha’s virtual Durga Puja kept the spirit alive.
