She has come to Kolkata as a Professor. She decided to work in the same college where she had studied. On the first day of her class, everyone at the college is shocked at the news of the brutal crime.

A student of the same college, Shinjini had gone to a party last night with her friends. She enjoyed and drank a lot at the party. While returning, a few of her friends insisted on dropping her home. These friends were sons of rich and powerful people. Shinjini was raped on that fateful night by these people. When she gets back to her senses, she tries filing a police report. But since the accused were sons of influential people of Kolkata, they bribed the police to sweep the matter under the rugs.

The college decides to stay away from this matter as it will only defame the college. Not even the college nor the police tried to help Shinjini. Additionally, they tried pinning everything on her. Raka, a headstrong woman, felt disgusted by the behavior of everyone around her towards a victim. Raka emerges as a ray of hope for Shinjini. She, along with her journalist friend, Darshana, stands with Shinjini. When Shinjini revealed the names of the rapists, Raka realized that the culprits are the spoiled sons of the board members of the college. Raka and Shinjini take the case to the court, where after a lot of shocking discoveries, they can prove the rapists. Their families still tried bribing and conspiring, but Raka and Shinjini were determined to get justice.

In the second season, Raka went to the Ipilpur village with her husband for his work. She comes across some goons who constantly harass her. Raka and her husband try to get help from the local MP but get lustful eyes instead. She realizes the crooked patriarchal structure of the society reigning over the village. The goons harass the women of the village every day, but the women are asked to take care instead. The goons never face repercussions. Raka is enraged with her system and decides to fight it with a local government body. But she later realizes she has bitten off more than she can chew. Raka also saves a local girl from the wrath of her family because she was caught while running away with her boyfriend. The goons take this opportunity to instigate the villagers against Raka, who wants nothing but good for the village.
