. Revealing the evil forces of child marriage and domestic violence has been the main objective of the television series.
The fate of Pakistani women is decided as soon as they are given birth- to marry. Shamin was married quite early in her life. She gave birth to Waseem, who becomes an arrogant, selfish, unsympathetic man with no morals. Waseem is married to Shehnaz, but he does not treat her like his wife, but rather an object to abuse, mentally and physically. And even though Shehnaz is disturbed, she does not dare to say one word against her husband. Waseem wants an heir but Shehnaz is unable to get pregnant. So, for this, he marries Kulsum, Chacha Inayat’s preteen daughter.
The bond between Kulsum, Shehnaz, and Shamin is solid as a rock. They support, and love each other wholeheartedly. After growing up, Kulsum gives birth to three daughters and this distresses Waseem. He runs from home to marry

, becoming a ‘Gharjamai,’ but is soon kicked out of that house. Meanwhile, Shehnaz, Shamin, and Kulsum opened a clothing business that soon became successful.
Hence, the storyline speaks on societal issues of child marriage and domestic violence, giving the perfect end through women’s empowerment. Waseem, after being shot by a gun, becomes disabled- and this very incident changes his whole perspective. It would be safe to say that he was given a second chance in life to repent for his past sins, and he does so. When a marriage proposal comes for Kulsum’s daughter, he rejects it, saying that she will become a doctor. Shamin finally gets ‘Rehaai’ from the vile force of child marriage.
