The narrative revolves around Sam Alex, a Superintendent of Police in the Kerala Police Force, who copes with the profound grief of losing his family by relying heavily on alcohol. The individual's spouse, Teena, and cherished daughter were tragically killed by an adversary in their presence. He causes the demise of the individual, which subsequently leads to his development of alcohol dependency. Sam's commanding officer, Aravindhaksha Menon, has requested him to initiate a concurrent investigation into a case about the disappearance and potential abduction of multiple young married men. This request has been made due to the lack of progress made by the current police team assigned to the case. Sam declines to do this.

Subsequently, Marykutty, his mother, implores him to undertake the investigation. Sam promptly immerses themselves in the case files, diligently reviewing the post-mortem documents and seeking consultation with the attending physicians involved. Sam is observed to have made a significant advancement in the case. Two additional kidnappings have occurred, further contributing to Sam's tentative conclusion regarding the killer's identity. The perpetrator exhibits eccentric behavior and possesses a distinctive physical characteristic: a limp and shorter right leg. Additionally, their attitude towards women is either strongly negative or positively inclined. The perpetrator leaves specific clues engraved with a precise surgical instrument on the victims' chests. This pertains to Sam's contemplation regarding the killer's character and the identity of their subsequent victim.

After thoroughly analyzing the inscriptions found on the victims' bodies, Sam has determined that the language used is Aramaic, which was commonly spoken during the time of Jesus. Upon further analysis, it was discovered that the question words indicate biblical proverbs. This revelation has assisted Sam in concluding that the perpetrator exhibits signs of insanity and believes that the victims sacrificed their lives due to the sins committed by their respective spouses. He contacts the wives to conduct an inquiry. He informs them that they have been linked to an individual named Anand, with whom they allegedly studied a few years ago. However, no concrete evidence has been found supporting this person's existence. Based on Sam's observations, it can be inferred that Anand has assumed a new identity and resides under the name Peter. Subsequently, Sam becomes aware of the existence of a final target and acknowledges that Anand's precision will be unfailing, followed by his subsequent disappearance. The protagonist eventually discovers that the individual he is pursuing is his sibling, Sanju, and his spouse, Anitha, serves as the final link in this association.

Sam discovers, with the assistance of his colleague and additional evidence, that Anand possesses property close to Kottayam. He proceeds to the location for a final confrontation. Following the unfortunate demise of Anand, Sam decides to abstain from consuming alcoholic beverages. Consequently, he embarks on a journey of personal growth and healing, ultimately choosing to provide a nurturing environment for Parvathi's daughter, the sibling of the deceased Anand.
