‘Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl’ was telecasted in Japan as ‘Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl’ in 2006. The Pokémon franchise made its debut in the Indian subcontinent in 2003 and was telecast on Cartoon Network. The languages in which the series were dubbed include Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
The first season of the Diamond & Pearl series aired in Pakistan starting on November 9th, 2009 and in India on November 16th of the same year. Initially, the anime was shown on Cartoon Network. On October 3rd, 2011 Pogo took the opportunity to air Pokémon Diamond & Pearl: Sinnoh League Victors for the first time in India.
The first episode of ‘Pokémon Diamond and Pearl’ begins with 'Following a Maiden's Voyage' story on Pogo TV. Dawn wakes up early in the morning and sees a beautiful morning. She lives in Sinnoh. We watched her great dream of becoming a great Pokémon Coordinator. Dawn takes her breakfast. She shares her imagination with her mother, and her mother gives her a lucky charm. Finally, Dawn starts her journey on the bicycle. She leaves for the Pokémon Laboratory in Sandgem Town.
The show was telecast in the USA and in Japan too.
