Food Food Maha Challenge is an Indian cooking competition show. The show had various cooks from different parts of India to compete each other in different stages to win the trophy of ultimate Indian title of Super Chef. The first season of the show started in 2011 and the first episode was aired on 9 September 2011. It aired every Friday at 1 pm. The season finale was telecasted on 2nd December 2011. In the initial episode, 16 candidates were chosen by judging them based on the food cooked by them. 8 male and 8 female candidates. Every week they had different competitions. They had to go through different ways to cook food, sometimes individually and sometimes they had to work in a group to present food in front of judges.
Every week there was an elimination round and one contestant got eliminated every week. Every week there were celebrities to judge these contestants. They belonged to the entertainment industry and some of them were famous chefs from different hotel chains. The winner can have their show on Food Food channel, publish his cookery book and win some cash prize. The winner got a trip to Italy with one more person. The cooks were mentored by chef Harpal and chef Vandana.
