Sandip Soparrkar

Sandip Soparrkar graduated in hotel management course and he was considering the profession of a cook as his career. However, during his hotel management course, he had learned to dance as a part of hospitality training and this changed his former decision of wanting to pursue cooking as a career option. In 2001, he choreographed a Bollywood film named ‘Zubeidaa’ and this made him resolute in choosing choreography as his profession.

Sandip Soparrkar is currently a very successful choreographer not only in Bollywood, as he has gained international fame and acclamation. He is also popular for choreographing one of Britney Spears’s album by himself. Since 2001, he has choreographed in nearly ten films and even pioneered an event known as the ‘Indian Dance Week’ which is famous for hosting various dance forms of Indian and International style. The last edition of dance week was launched with the presence of many Bollywood celebrities.

Sandip married the famous supermodel Jesse Randhawa Jesse Randhawa was born as Jasmeet Kaur Randhawa >> Read More... and together, the represented India in the 2014 edition of the Cannes Film Festival in France. The couple also performed at the International Marathi Film Festival hosted at Hong Kong, and they were praised for their glamourous performance on stage. Apart from choreographing films, Sandip also appears on television as a judge in popular reality shows such as ‘Dance India Dance,’ ‘Jalak Dikhhla Jaa’ and ‘Bharat Ki Shan’.

Sandip is a very resolute person since he does not deviate from his commitments, as seen from the fact that he has, for four times in a row, rejected the opportunity to appear in ‘Big Boss’ as he was a judge for a reality show at this time. Since 2014, he has received five awards for his choreography, including the National Achievement Award, Kudos award, NMIFF (Navi Mumbai International Film Festival) award etc. Sandip has proven many times to everyone on how indispensable he is in the field of dancing and choreography.
