BPL Oye—BPL oye is a music countdown show that aired on Hong Kong- based Channel V, between the years -1994-1997. The show acquired vast public support and popularity although at that time people only were subscribed to DD national and local channels. Many actresses, models, and singers were appointed as VJ to this show. The show was undoubtedly a unique one at that time. The Video Jockeys used to visit streets and gatherings and chit chat with the local vendors and public. It featured a countdown of 20 top rated Hindi songs along with their videos and is similar to Chitrahar, but the concept was quite unusual as a supermodel, actress or a renowned personality had to go in between the ordinary people and gossip about varied topics.

The news got featured in October 1994 that BPL Oye' will be moved from Channel V to DD because the show wasn't getting much viewership on V. For DD channel, the show was welcome for three great reasons. Apart from hurting the competition, the program would boost DD's weekend programming (it was to be aired on Saturdays at 9 p.m.), and bring the company a minimum fee of Rs 20 to 21 lakh with a guarantee. A standard sponsored program in the 9 p.m. slot brought DD only Rs 4 to 5 lakh at that time.

1. Anu Agarwal- She was born on 11 January 1969, and is an ex- Indian model and a stunning actress. She got huge approbation for her works in the movies Aashiqui, The Cloud Door and Thiruda Thiruda.
2. Ruby Bhatia- She was born on November 1, 1973, the US and is a TV program host, VJ, and actress. She won the prestigious`Miss India-Canada’ contest back in 1993 and became a Video Jockey for StarOne Channel V. She also hosted BPL Oye! And many award shows. Later, she appeared in numerous Hindi serials.
3. Mandeep Bevli Mandeep Bevli is a famous Indian television talk s >> Read More... is a Television Presenter on the channel Headlines Today in India. She mostly anchors entertainment programs of the channels like Grand Stand, Entertainment Quarter, etc.
4. Raageshwari Loomba is an Indian pop singer, model, actress, television anchor former on MTV and Channel V, a motivational speaker, and a yoga practitioner. Later Anu Agarwal was replaced by Neelam on the show. The official reason was that Anu was moving on to a hectic line of work. Nevertheless, the grapevine says it that she played awfully. She had disappeared for two weeks without any prior notice. Neelam brought in as a last-ditch replacement, was so good that she was appointed permanently.
The show was officially withdrawn in the year 1997.
