), a simple girl who lives in a drought-stricken village. She goes to Mumbai in order to save her father who is on the verge of becoming insane. Niru has a very powerful bond with her father since she is motherless; as a result, she promises her father that she will never marry and go away from him. While in Mumbai, she meets and falls in love with Chandu, who is a sweet and caring boy who shoulders all of his father’s hopes.
 Niru initially fights her love for Chandu, but later gives in to it. However, the two realise that their relationship cannot last since they come from very different backgrounds and their families are very against their relationship. Chandu dies, but he leaves Niru with a child. Chandu’s brother, Sirje, loves her and decides to marry her so she does not have to bear the burden of an illegitimate child. Niru is initially indifferent towards Sirje, but comes to fall in love with him in. She accepts him in the last episode of the show.
The show was cancelled due to low popularity and ratings.
