Naati Pinky Ki Lambi Love Story is the story of a woman named Lavanya, who is called Pinky by her loved ones. Her father, Ram Kashyap, is a formidable rich man who refuses to change his beliefs, however wrong they are. Her mother, Nalini, is a nice lady who wants to support Pinky in all her decisions but is scared of her husband. Pinky had an elder sister, Ananya, who died a few years after marriage. Her husband, Arjun, who is now a widower, lives with their adoptive daughter, Nandu. Pinky is a four-foot-eight-inched perky woman who aspires to be a comedian. All her life, people have kept reminding her that she won’t find a suitor because of her height.

Though it did not deter her spirit, there remained a small thought at the back of her mind that what others are saying might be true. She was thrilled when her parents found her a nice guy, Gagan. After marriage, she finds out that Gagan has been cheating on her with a woman named Megha. She leaves his house and goes back to her parents’, but her father mocks her for doing so. He wants her to go back to Gagan to keep up his prestige. His sister, Antara, Pinky’s aunt, also supports Ram Kashyap. Pinky’s grandmother, Sarla, takes Pinky and gets out of the house. Arjun insists that they live with him until the dust settles. He also helps her get a divorce from Gagan and stands up for her every step of the way.

Arjun faces a problem when a woman claiming to be Nandu’s biological mom wants to take her away from him and filed a case against him. Arjun’s best friend, Sunny, suggests him to do a fake marriage with a paid-actor in order to win the case. When the fake actor doesn’t show up, Pinky dresses up as a bride and puts on big glasses to prevent people from recognising her. She calls herself Imarti, and no one knows her real identity. By mistake, the pandit does a real marriage instead of a fake one. Eventually, Nalini, Antara, and thereby, everyone gets to know her identity. By then, she realises she fell in love with Arjun. Her father, however, orders her to get married to a guy he chooses. Pinky agrees as she doesn’t want to defy her father. Eventually, everyone convinces Ram Kashyap that she will be happy only with a guy she loves, and then he agrees to accept their not-so-fake marriage.
