Barrister Babu is a Hindi drama serial which originally aired on the channel Colors Tv and later aired on the channel Colors Rishtey TV. The show premiered on TV on 11th February 2020. Shashi Sumeet Productions produced the show. Anirudh Roy Choudhary returns to his hometown, a small city in India after he completes his studies in London and becomes a successful barrister. When he returns, he is worried about the orthodox mindset in his hometown. Anirudh’s family is concerned about this outlook that he has about society. Anirudh is in love with Saudamini "Mini" Bhaumik, who is his childhood friend. Their families also approve of their marriage. Then there is Bondita Das, who is a ten year- old girl who has a very different and open outlook about society, which is frowned upon by her family.
Bondita has to marry a 60-year-old man, and she writes a letter to this man. However, this letter reaches Anirudh, and he is impressed by reading Bondita’s views and thoughts. During Bondita’s marriage, her would-be husband dies; the village people, then force Bondita to commit Sati. In his desire to save Bondita, Anirudh marries her. However, Anirudh’s family opposes this marriage, but Anirudh decides to accept Bondita as his responsibility and tries to educate her. The show stars
