Bhanwar was a late 90’s documentary drama based on true and real incidents. Actually it was first aired on Sony Entertainment Television in the year 1998 and ended on 1999. This Documentary thriller drama was later re-telecasted on SAB TV and currently Fox History Channel is telecasting this thriller documentary drama.
Bhanwar was produced by the TV 18 network and directed by Sanjay Ray Chaudhari also known as “Ray C”. The entire concept of Bhanwar is based on the real incidents and some landmark judgments done by Indian Judicial System. . Two kids Named Geeta and Sanjay were abducted by two men named Ranga (Kuljeet Singh) and Billa (Jasbir Singh) and demands for ransom form the parents of Geeta and Sanjay. When they got know their father was a naval officer, they drop the idea of ransom and they clean up the evidence, and kill Sanjay and rape Geeta and then killed her as well. Then they abscond from the city but after few months they get caught on the train. Indian Judicial System put them in the charges of grave sins and hangs them for crimes they had done in the year 1982.
Both Kids were reported missing since 26th August 1978, and later their bodies will be recovered on 29th August 1978. Medical examination proves that Geeta has been raped. They abduct both the kids near Dhaula Kuan and go to Ca-naught palace near All India Radio Station. Kids struggle in the car driven by accused as seen by witnesses. With Haryana Number plate, their car was later found and which was also a stolen car and police also found blood stains in the car, which they had used as evidence, during this case. Both accused were found sinner and sentenced to hang to death.
