Tiya Gandwani

Tiya Gandwani is an actress and a model. Padma Gandwani is the actress’s birth name. Born in Paratwadi, a village in Amaravati, Maharashtra, Tiya wanted to follow a career in the Tinsel Town. She was very keen in dedicating herself to the acting profession. After finishing her schooling, Tiya moved to Pune to join fashion design course from NIFT, National Institute of Fashion Technology. After graduation, Tiya started modelling, choreography, commercials and ramp work. In 2006, she became a contestant in Cinestar Ki Khoj on ZEE TV. In the same year, 2006 Tiya’s acting skills were identified, and she was selected to act in a serial in Star Plus, Saarthi. In the show, she played Shefali, which was a vampish role. The serial was produced by Neela Telefilms and was aired for four years, from November 2004 to February 2008 and comprised of around 708 episodes. The plot was based on the modern representation of the epic, Mahabharatha. The serials had received a positive review.

She also appeared in serials like Ramayan of NDTV Imagine and Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki.
