Plot: The film Uyirvarai Iniththaai is about the life of two youngsters who are accustomed to living in the Dutch-Tamil environment. The two want to settle together, but also they don’t want to ignore their cultures. The film is about the various situations the couple faces and how they deal with it. The focus is on the two cultures, the native and the Dutch. Both these cultures turn out to be challenging for the couple. It is interesting to see what the differences and inconveniences are that the two face and also how they overcome the problems.

Analysis: The film is appreciated a lot. K. S. Thurai, the writer, gives the film a very plot which is appreciable. Also, he skillfully uses the idea of the two cultures to portray people’s views and mindsets and how the ones who live in such ways deal with the problems that come on their way. Thurai is also the director, and he does a very decent job at it. Not only does he write the story well but also he portrays it well. It seems like he looks into the demand of the audience and carefully uses it to make the film.

The way of presenting the story is impressive, and it does not lead to any ill feelings. It is very entertaining with some hilarious comedy, scenes especially in the first half. The music is by Vashnath Sellathurai, who does a commendable job and works wonders in both composing and acting. The cinematography is also suitable and suits the requirements. All aspects of the film including direction, acting, music, are appreciable. However, the film is also not without flaws.

Star Performances: Vashnath Sellathurai is appreciated the most for the role that he plays as the lead as Adhith. There are no complaints with his performance. His screen and comic timing are good, and mostly, he does not disappoint the viewers. His performance entertains the viewers a lot. Narvini Dery Ravishnagar plays the female lead as Shobha, and she too excels at her part. She too like Vashnath is appreciated for her on screen presence. Sugendra Devendra as Vazhapazham and Thayanithy Thambiah as Nivashraj also do amazing performances. The film is appreciated most of all for its slap-stick comedy put up perfectly by the actors.

What’s there? The film has a very delightful story to narrate and adding t it is that the story is uncomplicated and genuine. It deals with the situation that it portrays very well.

What’s not there? The film has a lot of flaws as well. It has received a lot of negative remarks and also not very widely accepted.

Verdict: The film is very light-hearted and good enough for a one time watch.
