When a plane is going to crash, a pregnant lady dies after giving birth to a child. The child is then taken by Thalaivasal Vijay. He raises the child that turns out to be the protagonist of the film. He studies about soil and makes a machine which determines their quality and other information. Meanwhile, he meets his love interest and falls in love with her.

One day a building collapses killing a lot of people. Richard, the protagonist, tests the soil and finds the damage. He builds up a case against the man who owns the building and sends him to jail. The man that Richard sends to jail is a man with connections. After he is released, he plans to kill Richard. What will happen next? Will Richard be killed even after he died the right thing?

Richard does the role of the research student very nicely; he single-handedly carries the movie on his shoulders and makes it a success. R. Selva’s cinematography is the best thing about the movie. The music by S. P. L. Salvadoran is decent, he could have done better. The director had the support if an adequate cast and crew.

Star Performances

The actors, Richard and Mano Chitra are good actors. They are known to deliver outstanding performances in the industry. Here too they continue to do that. The supporting cast also does everything that is required of them in the movie.

What’s there?

1) Brilliant acting

2) A refreshing plot

3) Brilliant cinematography

What’s not there?

1) The screenplay could have been made racier.

2) The music is a disappointment

Overall, Andaman is a delight to watch.
