Plot
Ponni was a cop, and her husband worked in a rice mill. She had a daughter. Her husband lost his job in an argument in the rice mill. Sangaiya meets Ponni’s daughter and gives her snacks, and asks her not to tell this to her mother. Later, Ponni and Sangaiya were seen in an abandoned building. Ponni was seen torturing a woman and getting a signature from her. After receiving the signature, she burns the woman alive. Soon, Sangaiya and Ponni leave the place. Why did Ponni kill the woman? What is the relationship between her and Sangaiya? All these are answered in a non-linear format.
Star Performance
Keerthy Suresh excelled in the character Ponni. Her dialogue delivery is fantastic and her body language suits the character well. Selvaraghavan is just fantastic in his role. Why has this guy remained silent these days? If he had been working before the camera, he would have been one of the leading character artists today. The rest of the stars did justice to the given roles.
Analysis
Arun has brought a different script, which was shot in a different mode. The characters are penned well, and the stars are well-picked. In recent days, Keerthy’s OTT movies didn’t get a good reception. But, this one is sure to earn her a good name. After a few films at the beginning of her career, she has started doing some experimental roles, which is welcomed on one side, and at the same time, it brings some fears that she might lose her popularity. But, this film brought back her fame. She is so natural with her performance, and her dialogue delivery and slang are fantastic. The cinematography in both black and white and color shades is admirable. The shots from the different angles receive appreciation. The BGM is okayish. We can hear some loud noise in the initial scenes, but Sam managed to give a better BGM throughout the film. The songs are neat.

Verdict
Arun Matheswaran has brought out the acting capability of Selvaraghavan. Though the film is violent, it is watchable for Keerthy and Selva’s performances!
