Plot
Durga is a visually challenged lady who loses her vision and her brother in an accident. She was a cop, and now, she is the important witness in a hit and run case. While dealing with this case, Durga gets to know that the accused has been involved in a serious crime against women. Will she trap him using her cop brain? The rest of the story deals with it.
Star Performance
Nayanthara has done her role with perfection. Already, she had played a visually challenged lady and a girl with hearing difficulties. So, these kinds of challenging roles are like tasting ice cream for her. She did the role with ease and got an appreciation for her dialogues too. Ajmal has done his part well. The rest of the stars had done justice to the given roles.
Analysis
Unlike the regular serial killer films, this movie didn’t portray the villain with a long backstory. However, he has a story, which we had seen in these genre movies. The director has taken some time to enter the story but is quick in introducing the characters, and that’s the greatest plus point of the film. Nayanthara’s performance and dialogues are received well, especially the climax portions. From the interval block to the pre-climax, the scenes are predictable. Yet, the audience watches it for Nayanthara. The director has added a few commercial elements to project the film and also for Nayanthara fans. The cinematography and BGM are good, and the film has good production values.

Verdict
There are a few logical letdowns. But that doesn’t affect the audience watching a thriller flick starring good actors, especially Nayanthara. Netrikann – Watchable!
