Plot
Siva Sithambaram (Raja Ganesan) A middle class neighbor’s mundane life takes a turn when a distant relative and his family from London decide to stay with him to attend a family wedding.
Star performance
All the actors in the film have done a formidable job. Raja Ganesan is fantastic in his portrayal. King Ratnam was also pleasant in his appearance.
Analysis
The film’s title is inspired from a famous Sri Lankan film Komaligal. The film has a great mixture of satire and thriller and tries to go well most of the film’s runtime. King Ratnam did the direction better than the acting. He seems like a person who enjoys the behind-the-scenes work more. The songs of the film are catchy and would attract a large audience. The cinematography of this film is simply gorgeous. The actors have done their job well. Now let's get to brass tacks. The film suffers from inconsistent tone. At one moment, it's a serious discussion, and suddenly, a comedic angle is added. You would be confused about whether to root for this or let go of it. The second point is the film’s pace, the film struggles to hold the audience's attention in the second half and seems to build a new narrative instead of taking the main story forward. Komaali Kings is a fun film and has a lot to offer. It does have its demerits but can be watched once.
