Plot
Easwaran and Hari are schoolmates. Their friendship didn’t start on a right note. When Hari’s mom and Easwaran’s parents die, both of the boys come closer. When they grow up, Easwaran becomes a mechanic and Hari is just roaming here and there without any job. He finds Gayathri, a college girl, as his soulmate. Revathi, a girl in their area, loves Easwaran. Although Easwaran couldn’t accept her love initially, Hari makes him accept her love. When everything was going on well, a politician’s son brings an issue to Hari’s family, which turned their life upside down. What is the issue? What happened to them? Did the friends solve the problem? Watch the film in theaters!
Star Performance
Prasanna has performed neatly as a silent but an angry youngster. Kalaiyarasan comes with timely jokes and impresses the audiences. Dhansika and Srushti have done their parts well. Dhansika’s performance in the climax receives appreciation. The stars have spoken the Madurai slang neatly.
Analysis
This is yet another film from Madurai. We have already witnessed a lot of films in Madurai base including Kaadhal, Paruthi Veeran and Subrahmanyapuram. The director has not come with a new script but narrated it neatly. The star casting is excellent and the four lead stars have done their part, excellently and added a weight to the film. The music composition by Justin Prabhakaran is lovely.

Verdict
Although the script is not new, the stars have performed excellently well. Kaala Koothu is a decent film that could be watched with the family.
