Gilli Bambaram Goli directed by Manoharan D has the star cast of Thalaivasal Vijay, Deepthi Shetty, Naresh, Prasath, Tamizh, Santhosh Kumar and Ganja Karuppu. Naga Krishna is the cinematographer. Sai Suresh edited the film. YR Prasaad composes the music. Director Manoharan produced the film.

Plot

Many people leave their family for their overseas job. Each and everyone has their problem to get solved soon. Only a few settle in their life, with their abroad earnings. Many of the people are struggling hard in overseas without revealing their hardships to their family. Four friends leave their family for their job in Malaysia. At a certain point, they had to oppose a local gangster, who in turn started targeting them. The rest of the story is how the youngsters clear the hurdles and succeed in their life.

Star Performance

Except for the senior stars Thalaivasal Vijay and Ganja Karuppu, the rest of the actors are new and they have given an average performance.

Analysis

The makers had come with a good script. But, if the screenplay had been better and if the artists had performed a bit natural, the film would have reached the audiences well. The cinematography and the music are okayish. If the director had chosen some known actors, the audiences would not feel odd to watch the film. The making seems to be amateurish and the performance of the villain appears to be artificial. When today’s TV series is coming with good production and technical values, some scenes in this movie look like a TV series that had been shot in sets, a couple of decades ago.

What’s There?

  • Good script

What’s Not There?

  • Screenplay and narration are weak
  • Performances of some stars are artificial

Verdict

If the makers had concentrated on the screenplay and the performance of the stars, then this film would have been in the talks of the people.
