Plot
Dr Varun works in the military. Padmini is Varun's fiance. Due to some differences between them, Varun and Padmini decided to break up their relationship. Soon, Varun comes to know that Padmini’s niece is kidnapped. So, he decides to find her out and starts investigating. He gets a lot of shocking information while dealing with this. Was her able to find her? The rest of the story reveals who kidnapped her and what their motive is.
Star Performance
Sivakarthikeyan did a decent job as usual. His body language, expressions, and dialogue delivery are good. Vinay appears a baddie once again. However, he didn’t have much scope to showcase his skill. Milind Soman should have been used better. Priyanka has nothing to do, and she is a template heroine. Yogi Babu is good with his counters. Archana and Deepa are good in their roles.
Analysis
Nelson has chosen a good script, and his screenplay is engaging. After his super hit heroine-centric Kolamavu Kokila, he comes with an exciting plot with a new heroine to Tamil. Although the performances and the action sequences are reasonable, initially, it seems only Sivakarthikeyan is focused more. However, the other stars had also done their portions well. The antagonists should have been given some more substantial portions to do. However, Yogi Babu’s comedy has provided relief. The BGM and songs by Anirudh are good. The cinematography and editing are okay. After turning out to be an action hero, SK has chosen different subjects than before, which is a good sign for his career.

Verdict
Although there are some loopholes in the film, Doctor is definitely a one-time watch for the screenplay, direction, and artists’ performance. Doctor – a decent medicine!
