Plot
Sree is a filmmaker. He and his assistants are heading towards an isolated villa for a story discussion. Soon, they witness a camera with heart-breaking footage of an eight-person family, which met its fate in the same location where Sree and his team landed. Soon, they find themselves struck, and no room to escape from the eerier place. They find a masked man trying to kill them. What happened next? Do they escape? The rest of the film speaks about Sree and his team’s spooky experiences.
Star Performance
Aryan Shyam’s performance is decent. He doesn’t look like a newbie. Imman Annachi, Kishore Rajkumar, Aadhya, and Leema fit well in the role and did a decent job.
Analysis
We have been witnessing a lot of horror stories right from Chandramukhi. Though 2 decades are about to pass, the horror genre is not ready to leave Kollywood. Antha Naal has all the regular horror elements, like an isolated bungalow, eerie sounds, masked man, and deaths in the same location. The director has tried to narrate the story with human sacrifice as the main element. Though the initiative is good, the execution lacks the needed grip. The screenplay is not clear, and the audience is stuck between a few incomplete scenes. The visuals are decent, and the BGM is pretty okay.
