Plot
When the protagonist is about to express his love to one of his classmates during their schooling, he hears her saying that all of them are friends and no other relationship is between them beyond that. After hearing this, he decides to shut down his love chapter. After his graduation, he falls in love with another girl. She loses her leg in an accident, and the protagonist blames himself for the accident and decides to marry her. Despite his family’s opposition, he marries her. What happened next? The rest of the story deals with the ups and downs in the life of the protagonist.
Star Performance
Vidhush and Santhosh Saravanan tried their best. Devadarshaini and Manobala’s chemistry is decent. Manisha, who appears in a limited screen time, makes her presence felt. Meena’s performance is okay, especially in the emotional scenes.
Analysis
The story focuses on how to take life in the adolescent stage. The director tried to convey that infatuation will spoil teenagers’ lives. To succeed, one must concentrate on academics, get settled, and decide their love life. This is what the makers wanted to say. The film also has a message that suicide will not put an end to any issue. Though the film has some good messages, the director should have avoided the pacing issues. Though the film has a lot of well-known supporting stars, the lead stars are not familiar faces. This makes the audience step back a bit. Though there are few okayish performances from the leads’ side, if they had put more effort and emoted well, the film would’ve reached wider. The visuals are pretty decent. The BGM is okay.

Despite the flaws, the film has some thoughtful messages and decent comedy from the senior actors. Poomara Kaathu – watchable once!
