Adhe Kangal is the Tamil romantic thriller movie directed by Rohin Venkatesan. It is the debut film of Rohin, who was an associate to Vishnuvardhan Kulasekaran, the director of " Billa" featuring Thala, Ajith Kumar. The film is produced by “C.V. Kumar” of Thirukumaran Entertainment. The film features Kalaiyarasan Harikrishnan, Janani Iyer, Sshivada Nair and Bala Saravanan in the lead roles. Mohamaad Ghibran composes the music and Ravivarman Neelamegam is the cinematographer.

Plot

A visually challenged guy gets back his eyesight. He is a chef. After getting his eyesight, the chef is forced to set on a journey to find a solution to a mystery. With the help of his childhood friend, who is a reporter, the chef is gearing up to face the tough challenges. What happens to his friend? Did the two solve the mystery? Star Performance

Kalaiyarasan has done his role perfectly. As a local Madras guy, he impressed everyone in Ranjith’s “Madras.” Kalai proved his mettle in “ Kabali,” once again. Adhe Kangal has revealed his acting skill in a different perception. We could say, it is a meaty role for Janani. Already Janani impressed people in “ Thegidi.” Sshivada Nair has also pitched her part perfectly. Ghibran’s music is quite entertaining.

Analysis

Rohin has chosen a unique subject as his debut project and has handled it pretty well. Not all the debutants choose these kinds of subjects. After Karthik Naren of Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, Rohin gets the name for picking up a different project in the debut.

What’s There?

  • Top notch performances by the lead roles

What’s Not There?

  • Comedy didn’t work out as expected

Verdict

Adhe Kangal is a romantic thriller, which could impress the suspense genre lovers. It is a good film to watch in this weekend.
