Plot
Saravanan and Magizhnila are lovers, and they want to settle in their life after Saravanan launches his new business. As Saravanan lacks funds, Magizh takes up the job of caring an elderly woman in a remote village located in deep woods in a hilly area. As the salary is high for taking care of the woman, Saravanan stops Magizh and asks her to reject the job offer, guessing that the job looks fishy. But Magizh takes up the job and moves to the woods. Soon, she feels it is a haunted place. The elderly woman says she won’t use mirror, as it is said to be a bad omen for her family. This confuses Magizh. Her only solace was to speak with Saravanan over the phone. Soon, she finds out that she is pregnant with Saravanan’s child. After some time, she feels that she is left alone like the elderly woman whom she cares for. Soon, she discovers that Saravanan’s actual name is Ilanthirayan, and he is not a young man but an old man who was kept young eternally by a boon. To keep him young, he had to take up the lives of pregnant young women. What will he do now? Will Magizh be saved? The rest of the film deals with this.
Star Performance
Michael and Kavipriya share a good chemistry and have done a decent job. Sriranjani has done a good job in her new role. Kalai Rani’s performance is a bit over.
Analysis
Initially, the film looks good with its new concept. But, it becomes a confusing plot in the middle and makes the audience revive what happened in the beginning. The film has romance, supernatural elements, and thrill. But, as the screenplay is confusing a bit, certain sequences became questionable. The cinematography is okay, but the music is a bit louder at times, making the dialogue less audible.
