Plot

Four men, who address themselves Ayyankali Pada, want the government to withdraw the bill that makes the Adivasi people stay away from their lands. Their voice won’t be heard, so they decided to make the collector hostage. Along with the collector, Ajay Sripad Dange, they locked in a room and started demanding the government to withdraw the bill. What happened next? Was the government lend its ears to their demand? The rest of the story deals with it.

Star Performance

While speaking about performances, we could not judge whether Kunchacko, Vinayakan, Joju, or Dileesh had done their best. These guys had always performed naturally and impressed the audience, and the same continues in this flick. Arjun, who played the collector, has done an excellent job too.

Analysis

Kamal scripted the film based on the true incidents that happened some decades ago. The story shines brighter when the natural performers get the right roles. In 2 hours, the makers had tried their level best to give an excellent movie-watching experience to the audience. The characters are penned beautifully with minute details, and the dialogues are good. To make a film with real-life incidents, the maker should be aware of the fact and analyze it umpteen times before filming it. A small error might lead to a big issue, and we have seen similar incidents in the past. So, Kamal had done a lot of groundwork. Kamal’s screenplay is good. The cinematography, music, and editing are perfect.

What’s There?

  • The script, screenplay, and execution are good
  • The stars’ performances are impressive

What’s Not There?

  • A very few minor flaws

Verdict

With a good script and talented stars, Kamal KM had given a perfect cinematic experience. For its concept and performances, the film is watchable for sure!
