Sathyan Anthikad is back in business with his latest family drama Ennum Eppozhum. Antony Perumbavoor has produced it under Aashirvad Cinemas. The movie is based on a story by actor Raveendran and is written by Ranjan Pramod.
Vineeth M. Pillai is an experienced senior reporter in a women's magazine. He is working in an organization for quite a time and now has lost all his passion and dedication towards his job. He couldn't leave the job as his mother is in the management committee and he has to stick to the job anyhow. Kalyani, Vineeth's new boss, gets pissed at him because of his lack of attention towards the job. She gives him the assignment to interview Deepa, a fierce lawyer of the town. She threatens to fire him if he fails in interviewing Deepa. After facing a lot of problems, Vineeth finally gets a slot from Deepa's busy schedule for the interview, but he blows it. The movie goes on with Vineeth and Deepa falling in love with each other after a series of hilarious events and Vineeth resigning from his job. To see what happens next, buy a ticket and watch the movie.
The movie has an interesting and sophisticated story, but Sathyan fails to put the pearls in one single thread. Mohanlal and Manju Warrier are back on the screen together after 17 years, yet the chemistry between them is sparkling. Mohanlal has been very sophisticated throughout the movie, and it is good to see him doing movies which are out of his comfort zone. The first half is a bit loose, and it gains speed and momentum in the second half. The movie has a predictable climax, and the audience doesn't remain curious until the end.
Mohanlal has chosen a movie out of his comfort zone, and he must not be commented upon. His chemistry with Manju Warrier has been amazing. She has also looked perfect in a lawyer's character. Sathyan has done an average job, and fans must be expecting more from him.
1) The movie has freshness with its story and will connect with the youth.
2) Fans longing to see some good romance will happily move out of the theater after watching the movie.
What's not there-
1) Sathyan's fans will not be satisfied with what he has on the table for them.
2) The first half seems a bit too much to handle despite the comedy sequences.
The movie has received mixed reviews from the audience, and we will rate it as average. You can watch it if you want.
