Plot
Manjula is a history teacher who got a job in a village school. Swapna Mandapa is an abandoned historical structure in the village, which grabs her attention. Manjula stays at Sidappa’s house. He is her father’s friend. She meets Sidappa’s son, Shivakumar, who learns about her interest in Swapna Mandapa. He narrates the story of King Chanderaya, his wives, Nagala Devi and Madanike, and Madalase, his daughter. This story draws her attention. Soon, she develops feelings for Shivakumar. Manjula learns about Bheemaraju, who claims to be the heir of the King, and tries to sell the Swapna Mandapa to a group that is planning to build a resort. As Manjula and Shivakumar know about the cultural importance, they try to stop him from selling and take initiatives to preserve it. What happened next?

Analysis
The basic concept of preserving a historical monument is good. But, the narration loses its grip. The film is showcased like a stage drama with improvised dialogue. The flashback portions give us a theatrical drama feeling. It misses the natural way of execution. We feel that it is a latest documentary about a historic monument rather than a feature film. If the screenplay had been a little faster, it might have attracted the contemporary movie watchers. The visuals and music are quite decent. The editing should’ve been a little crisper.

Verdict
Despite the good theme of preserving the cultural monument, the film lacks grip in the screenplay. If you don’t have any qualms about watching the slow-paced film with a good theme, you can try this!
