Plot
Sant Kavi Kanakadasa Ramadhanya is about the 15th-century philosopher, poet, and musician Kanakadasa. One focuses on the saint's life and how, from Thimmappa, a former warrior, he came to be known as Kanakadasa. Here, Kanakadasa tells the tale of the negative impacts of the caste and class system in his own words, using the excellent example of the struggle between the millets rice and ragi for supremacy. The movie combines the challenges of society with mythology and history.
Star Performance
Yashas gave the best performance. Nimika, who makes her debut, executed her character very well. Mandya Ramesh, Ramesh Pandit, Yash Ninasam, Venu Raj, and Aruna Balaraj also gave fine performances.
Analysis
Sant Kavi Kanakadasa Ramadhanya is not for people searching for enjoyment or fun. You must be a history lover and have the patience to watch this film. There are three parallel stories that are related to one another. The film depicts Kanakdasa's life and Lord Rama's life when he decides the best dhanya (food grain). But despite excellent performances from the key actors, the film fails to portray history on the big screen.
