Plot
The film is about the conflict between traditional Ayurvedic medicines and the modern allopathic medicines. Yashoda is an expert Ayurvedic doctor. She has mastery in ayurvedic medicines. She cures all types of diseases very quickly. Slowly, she and her son Maavera become popular from village to big cities for providing selfless free Ayurvedic treatment to patients.
This creates great anger among the allopathic doctors who find their profession being affected because of Yashoda. She also faces opposition from Health Minister Madesha, who owns a hospital. All the allopathic come together and plan a conspiracy against Yashoda.
What is this conspiracy? Will Yashoda and her son be able to defend themselves? Which medicine will win, Ayurvedic or Allopathic?
Star Performance
Yashoda Gowda, who played the role of Yashoda, gave the best performance. She shows all the emotions and expressions in a balanced proportion. Her performance takes the viewers into her world of healing.
Madhusudhan, who played the role of Yashoda’s son, gave a fantastic performance. He is an Ayurvedic doctor in real life and portrays all his expertise in this film. He looks very realistic on the screen. He makes the film engaging.
Rajkumar Navik and Annapp Swamy excellently executed their parts. Their dialogue delivery and acting are impressive.
Analysis
The film contains all three elements – crime, drama, and thriller in a balanced proportion. The film is about traditional versus modern, with Ayurveda representing the old medicine system and Allopathy representing the present medicine system. The director, who himself is an ayurvedic doctor, tries to portray how the allopathic medicine system has turned into a money-making business. The strongest part of the film is the depiction of rural life, which is very realistic and appealing to the viewers.
The concept of the story is new, but the film shifts its focus from the conflict to the corrupt allopathic system. This suppresses the uniqueness of the story.
