" Atharva" is a mystery thriller scripted and directed by Arun. Sanam Shetty, Pavan Teja, Yash Shetty, “ Tara” and Rangayana Raghu are in the star cast. Vinay Kumar produced the film on a large scale.

Nanda is a college student, who is very much interested in the social services. Rachita is a journalism student. Rachita is researching about black magic. Nanda falls for Rachita and tries to impress her in many ways. Sushma and Jaya are Rachita’s friends. Both of them had gone missing mysteriously. Rachita thinks that Nanda has some connection in the missing case and tries to find it out. To get a property record, Maari Mahadeva searches for Rachita. Meanwhile, Nanda proposed to Rachita. What will Rachita do? Will she accept him? What happened to her friends? Did she find them out?

Star Performance

Pavan Teja, the debutant has done a decent job. Sanam Shetty did justice to her role. Tara excelled well as usual. Rangayana Raghu did what is required for his character. Yash Shetty emoted well as the villain.

Director Arun has chosen an all in one story that has mystery, family sentiment, friendship and romance. This genre is not new to Sandalwood and some films were successful with perfect script, screenplay and execution. But, that is not the case with Atharva. The content is not that string to move forward the film. But, the production and technical values are okayish.

What’s There?

  • Performances of the stars are okayish

What’s Not There?

  • The script seems to be outdated
  • Execution is not good

The film doesn’t have enough strength to carry out the plot. Although the stars did a decent job, improper execution, made the film unimpressive. If you don’t have any films to watch, you could try this!
