CAST & CREW
Satyajit Bhatkal has come up with his debut flick in Harry Potter style giving it the Indian touch, which has drawn the Indian kids to the film. The story revolves around a child, how his destiny takes different turns from the start. Finally, we are shown as to how he turns a savior for his village, by going through the evilness of his uncle.
After his parents’ death, Kunal ( Darsheel Safary) is sent to his uncle Deshraj ( Anupam Kher). Unfortunate Kunal's uncle is wicked and has greed for money, which Kunal has got from his parents. Deshraj runs the school in the village; the kids are ill-treated there, and he slips the government money allotted to school in his kitty. Deshraj takes Kunal to the city, there he forsakes him, and takes the check of his name pretending him dead. Somehow Kunal manages his return to the village.
In the journey, Kunal meets Kittu (Manjiri Phadnis), who becomes a good friend and guardian of his and helps him to get through. After coming back, he intends to help his village from the evil deeds of Deshraj with the help of mad scientist Dr. Vivek Rai (also played by Anupam Kher), who is ignored by the villagers. Rai makes Kunal the superhero and names Zokkomon. Will Zokkomon be able to help the villagers? What will happen? Watch the film to find out.
Satyajit Bhatkal’s attempt has turned out to be a bit melodramatic. It is an average story shown in a normal way. It will be a good movie for kids to watch as it has magic and the superhero they would like. The music is not much appealing.
Darsheel Safary is natural in his performance. Anupam Kher has portrayed both the characters quite well. Manjiri Phadnis's bubbly performance is average.
1. It is a joyride for kids.
2. Visual effects are illustrated nicely.
3. The first Indian superhero of kids.
What’s not there?
1. The plot is not appealing.
2. Though Shankar Ehsaan Loy gave the music, it’s not attractive.
If you have no other option, it’s a one-time watch film. Go with your kids, they will like it.
