Plot

For 30 years, the Kashmir Pundits have been living in exile. They still hope that they will get justice one day. They want to get back their homes and business places. Besides all these, they want to be acknowledged. Pushkar Nath Pandit is a nationalist. His grandson is Krishna. Pushkar had witnessed a lot of massacres. Pushkar and his friends are waiting for justice. His grandson, who doesn't know about his past, wants to explore what had happened and what's happening. The film deals with all these.

Star Performance

Anupam Kher once again proves his versatility. His natural performance filled with emotions makes the audience feel for his character. He is the show-stealer, truly! Pallavi Joshi is fantastic with her performances. Mithun and Chinmay have done a good job.

Analysis

It is a bold attempt by the makers. Matters about JNU, terrorism, how the Kashmiri Pundits suffer are all dealt with emotionally. Vivek's direction is fantastic. The screenplay is impressive, and the casting team should be appreciated for picking the right stars. The characters are designed well, especially Pushkar Nath Pandit, played by Anupam Kher. We are sure that many would go emotional while watching Anupam's performance as Pushkar Nath Pandit. The BGM and cinematography are perfect. The editing is pretty decent.

The film's length should have been trimmed

Verdict

With a sensitive plot, Vivek Agnihotri has brought in some highly talented artists to the film and has done a great job. The film is watch-worthy for the performances and execution!
