Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Delhi Files’ To Clash With ‘War 2’?

According to the recent reports, Vivek Agnihotri’s next movie will lock horns with none other than YRF’s much awaited ‘War 2’. Vivek’s latest venture, ‘The Delhi Files’, will now release in two parts, with the first part ‘The Delhi Files : Bengal Chapter’ releasing on 15 August 2025, the same day as ‘War 2’, which will be directed by Ayan Mukherji.

‘The Delhi Files’ was initially to be based on the 1984 tragedy, where more than 3000 Sikhs were massacred on the orders of the then ruling faction of Congress party. This was done because PM Indira Gandhi was assassinated by her own bodyguards, who were Sikhs by ethnicity. However, it seems that Vivek Agnihotri has found a better script, and is ready to give it his all for a new franchise.

Vivek Agnihotri has had a topsy turvy record in terms of clashes. However, despite the barrage of negative reviews, ‘The Tashkent Files’ turned out to be a sleeper hit, thanks to the underwhelming performance of ‘Kalank’.

Likewise, another of his prized projects, ‘The Kashmir Files’, clashed directly with Prabhas’ ‘ Radhe Shyam Radhe Shyama is a Kannada tv serial which is about >> Read More... ’ on 11 March 2022.  However, ‘The Kashmir Files’ turned out to be an unexpected blockbuster, braving even the might of ‘RRR’ to earn a whopping total of 340 crores worldwide on a low budget of 15 crores.
